SALVATION Army Warwick has raised $167 for the Cancer Council Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea campaign.
Hosted by Captain Mark and Cathryn Williamson at the Salvation Army hall yesterday, this is the third year the Ladies Home League and guests have participated in the campaign.
The event kicked off at 10am, with a morning tea of sandwiches and cakes, featuring cupcakes topped with teacup decorations.
Activities included quizzes and crafting daffodil cards and a prayer to God for cancer patients.
Mrs. Williamson told the Daily News the organisation decided to hold the event to do their bit in aiding other organisations.
“Every little bit helps,” she said.
